A few months ago I had the privilege to teach at a Paul Mitchell School for a select couple of students. I never taught a class in my life before! When I was offered the opportunity I just grabbed at it even though I had no idea how I would do it. (In life I’ve learned just go for it, and figure out how to do it later!) I’ve gotten so far just by doing that.
I was super nervous and I did make a powerpoint. The Paul Mitchell School I was teaching at was an hour away and I thought I would get there way early. Well guess what?! I was there late and I was so upset. I waned to buy dunkin donuts for the students too but I didn’t get a chance to do that. I felt like I didn’t have much time to introduce myself so I kind of just went straight into the class. Wish I had done that differently but oh well.
After the powerpoint the hands-on stuff started to get really fun. Luckily we had enough time where everyone got a chance to do the airbrush makeup on eachother. It was a blast!!!
Now i will be teaching another class at the technical highschool I graduated from 2 years ago. Wonder how that will go….
